Apps & Software I use
Blinkest: 15 min synopsis of books.
I love Blinkest because it gives me the main take aways from books, and gives me enough of a taste to see if I want to read the whole thing. Sometimes, the cliffnotes are enough, and sometimes they are so intriguing, I add it to my "to-read" list.
Google Calendar: Organize my most precious resources: TIME
I love the ability to make different calendars for different things, and of course the ability to share with people in my life. Having different calendars make an easy on and off (such as when I am on vacation, I dont need to be reminded about what other people are handling at work), and allows me to set my privacy settings. Dont forget to set up time for rest!
Google Keep: Cross platform notes
I have heard that there are many good apps out there for taking notes but I am a Google Keeps person. I can add my family to my grocery list, so anyone can update whenever they need something, and all my notes are available cross platform from my lap top, to tablet, to cell phone. Check boxes, nesting, everything I could ask for.
Good Reads & Audible: Keeping track of THE BOOKS
I am not a physical reader, I am an audio consumer of books because that is how I learn best. I love following people on Good Reads to see what they are reading, as well as having an easy access place to store my titles from read, what I am reading - or what is next on my to read list.
Kiva: Microloans
I access this app frequently to make sure that I am putting my money to use over and over and over for the greater good. The dopamine hit when I open the app to see the pictures of those I have helped help themselves is totally worth it.
Quickbooks & My Banks App: Know where the money is
As an accountant, I probably micromanage my finances more than most, and I love Quickbooks desktop for its reporting capabilities and historical data. QB hooks right up to my online banking to download my transactions.
